Northern Pipeline was founded in a small town in northern Minnesota; NPL began as Northern Gas Line Constructors focusing exclusively on gas customers. By 1971, the company progressed from the installation of local farm taps to the construction of several large gas pipeline construction projects in nearby states. By 1973, the company was renamed Northern Pipeline Construction Co., and a few years later, moved its headquarters to Minneapolis-St. Paul. A decade later, the company arrived at its current location in Phoenix, Arizona. After the natural gas pipeline restoration the company also tests, inspects, repairs, maintains, replaces, and emergency response when needed. Canyon Pipeline also has other services such as CNG stations, guard rails, milling, high-pressure plastic pipe, and meter installs. Right now one of Canyon Pipeline’s projects is in Bountiful Utah, where the natural gas pipeline is being restored and equipped to withstand an earthquake, since the pipeline lies on a fault line.
