I frequently watch commentary Youtube videos (e.g. Johnny Harris to keep myself updated on global affairs and train my critical thinking skills. The videos helped me develop a greater understanding of the world, while the comment section trained my mind to quickly and accurately recognise nuances and assumptions in arguments. I realised that I learn best through imitation, so I recorded myself and compared my recordings with singers. There was always a minimal difference in pitch at certain words that ruined the entire melody. Knowing this, I adjusted the pitch whenever a segment sounded off while singing and eventually subconsciously grasped “pitch” after a few months. Now I start the whole process again, learning how singers give songs a personal touch.

It is the freedom to think and express myself. Freedom of thoughts has allowed me to excel at my studies, through personalised approaches and methods. Freedom of expression has allowed me to discover and understand myself in great depth.
