Module 3: Assignment 1 The project I will develop is a how-to guide on making snickerdoodle cookies. I was inspired by the class meeting on how the final project could be more personal and less necessarily what I teach in the classroom. My mind when my grandmother made snickerdoodle cookies. As my favorite chef, my grandmother always makes wonderful meals, snacks, and desserts. One thing I have noticed in my time in the kitchen with her is that she will often do things that are not written down in the recipe. I always ask her to write it down the exact way she makes it, so that one day when she is no longer able to make these dishes, we can replicate her methods. Lastly, parents working with their children face the obvious safety concerns of sharp objects, the hot oven, and misuse of ingredients. Depending on the age of the children, there may be a lack of attention span and mess management. All extra pieces such as music, clipart, and sound effects will be selected based on how well they enhance the overall experience. I will not add anything just to have it in there.My goal for the music is to find something upbeat and cheerful, perhaps an instrumental version of a song, jazz, acoustic, or even the ukelele. The clipart will focus on kitchen tools such as baking sheets, whisks, spoons, as well as ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs, butter, cinnamon, etc., and cookies themselves. I am not certain I will use sound effects, but if so perhaps mixing sounds to simulate the process of mixing ingredients, the oven opening and closing, and maybe the timer going off when they are ready.
