The instruction set that was created was on the topic of teaching a user how to pick out parts in order to build a computer. Furthermore, the purpose of this set was to teach people who have never built a computer before how to pick out the appropriate parts and to do it with their own budget. The instruction set uses a website called pcpartpicker. This website allows the user to easily search for parts that they want. The instruction set uses this tool to help the user find parts that work well within their budget and be able to show them if their parts are compatible with each other. As someone who works with computers often and has built multiple computers before, I wanted to create something that would help others get into it and be able to create a computer …show more content…
Below is the spreadsheet version of the scale. The first row has all of the questions that were asked. The subsequent rows provide all of the filled out results from these questions. During the evaluation of my results, question 6 was disregarded due to the fact that it didn;t have much to do with what the instruction set was actually trying to accomplish. The final question was used to gain additional information from the participants in order to have them give any thoughts they had while using the instruction set. For the remaining questions, other than the yes/ no questions, they were tested on a 5-point scale. There were a couple of key observations that were made during the process of the participants completing the instruction set. It was mainly that they wanted a little more info on components budget wise. Some real time feedback that was given was to add a blurb for each item to show what to expect the cost of that component to be in the grand scheme of the build. This would help by giving users a better understanding of how to portion their budgets when choosing
