In order to analyse this situation properly, it is important to know what copyright means and who it protects, it also crucial to know what fair use guidelines are. Copyright is a complete legal right given to the owner or assignee to make copies, publish, distribute, print, film, and perform artistic or musical materials and to grant permission to others to do the same. Generally, copyright protect the author for a lifetime and for 50 years after the death of the author or owner. Fair use doctrine permits the use of the copyright material in contributing to the development or creation of new ideals in a way that it does not deprive the original owner or publisher income for their work. The fair use guideline has four factors that must be considered in order to if a copyright material has been used according to fair use doctrine or not. These four factors are: purpose and nature of the use of copyrighted material, what is the nature of the work with copyright protection, the amount and significant of the portion used and finally what impact does the use have on the potential market value of the material.

Using a combination of password and biometric as a security measure by the service provider is a good and welcome idea it actually a good reason to have the two as a form of redundancy, but I will suggest that this too be implanted together such that even is the password has been compromised the biometric will still serve as another security layer to protect the information of users.
