Database: Maintaining a database of all the shipped products would help the company in easy tracking and management of the shipments, as all the details of all the shipped consignments would be stored at a single space with one click access to the user. This could be used for the tracking purpose too, as the courier is marked with a barcode label which could be scanned at every checkpoint through which it pass, will help the customers to track their shipment.
• Use of Barcode: The Use of Barcode in the courier label of every shipment is the first step we could take to digitize our efforts in making the courier service in consideration to be more efficient and accurate. This technology would include the printing of barcodes on every shipment label, which would carry required basic information about the shipment to be sent. The basic information could contain the name of sender/receiver or the address of the receiver or the booking ID. Use of barcode also enables the courier company to maintain a traceable database of all the booked orders.
