Concise – While keeping in mind that you need to keep things as clear as possible, it also need to be concise as this will save the user time. Use symbols similar to those already familiar to the user from other computer programs, instead of words.
Familiar – Making the content on your platform look like the interfaces of other programs regularly used, for example, the use of tabs on your dashboard. This ensures that you can see all the options of your dashboard even when you have chosen a specific tab.
Responsive – First off, your platform for course delivery needs to be fast, meaning that you need to use the right software to run the program. The interface should respond quickly and content should download fast. The interface should also provide feedback. For example, when you press a button on the user interface the button should either change colour or should display a ‘pressed’ state to let the user know that they have successfully pressed the button. In the event that nothing happens, there should be some information relating to why. Maybe content is still being downloaded and is not yet available to access.
