A Nurse Anesthetist has a very intriguing job. A Nurse Anesthetist can also be referred to as a CRNA. They are advanced practice registered nurses. A CRNA is also a trained health care professional. They provide over 45 million anesthetics every year.

Initially, to become a Nurse Anesthetist, you must complete years of schooling. This schooling includes 6-8 years of higher education. An associates or a bachelors of science in nursing degree (BSN) is also required for this position. Once this is accomplished, it is required to pass the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) to obtain the RN license. These factors include the expected blood loss during surgery, the position during surgery, medications the patient is already taking, supplements the patient is on, comorbidities, surgical history, allergies, and the surgery being prepared. CRNAs usually spend thirty to sixty minutes creating each patient's plan. Then the Nurse Anesthetist must provide the pain medicines and anesthesia to the patient before, during, and after surgery. This is required to keep patients asleep and to have a pain-free operation.
