Nurse Burnout Nurse burnout is a very big issue, especially in today's times. Being a nurse is a very physically and emotionally demanding career. From dealing with disrespectful patients to putting themselves in situations that aren't in their best interest, nurses put a lot into their jobs. With that being said, it causes burnout. This proposal addresses nurse burnout in-depth, recognizing it not only as a problem affecting individual nurses but also as a systemic issue that deserves organizational and policy-level support.

Problem Statement Nurse burnout presents detrimental challenges to the quality of healthcare that the nurses can provide. According to a recent study from the ANA resources hub, almost two-thirds of nurses experience symptoms of burnout, which includes emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a reduced sense of personal accomplishment. That is approximately 62% of nurses! Burnout can be devastating for a nurse's career. This is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately, or we could risk not having adequate nurses on the job.

There are multiple levels, and multiple ways that nurses can experience burnout. The National Library of Medicine states four different levels at which nurse burnout could come from, Unit level, job level, patient level and, situation level. All throughout the day nurses are constantly being confronted with difficult situations, patients, and workplace drama. All of this combined, along with working 70 hours plus weeks could result in a terrible mental health situation. Not only would this affect the nurses, but the patients would also suffer from this. With inadequate nurses who are in terrible mental spaces, this could cause them to look over little things that could be life for the death of a patient, or even being neglectful to the patient because of their lack of
