I learned a great deal of information by attending a poster presentations. Even though I viewed six different posters, two posters caught my attention. The first poster that I found interesting was based on Chlorhexidine-Gluconate 1% gel designed to reduce Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). I found this topic interesting because I was oblivious about hospital setting using such gel to treat VAP. The second poster that caught my attention focused on the nurse-patient-nurse bedside handoff report. I found this poster interesting because as a future nurse I can establish this practice to increase the positive patient outcomes.
The VAP in an ICU patient poster made me aware that the VAP is one of the leading cause of morbidity in ICU unit.
