An epic hero is an admirable and godlike character that goes on dangerous journeys and always is victorious. An example of an epic hero would be Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games. When Katniss’ sister is selected to be in the hunger games, she volunteers showing courage and that she is willing to put herself in a dangerous situation to save someone else. Although she doesn't have any superhero abilities she is able to shoot a bow and accurately hit targets which helps her get through the hunger games and thrive. Harry Potter is another example of an epic hero. He has magical powers, a quality that mortals lack. He proved over and over in the books that he was able to think fast in the heat of the moment and fight back courageously …show more content…
For example, “ENotes” states, “Odysseus’s quick thinking helps him out of some very tough situations.” Following this statement, the website “E Notes” also explained that Odysseus tricked the cyclops by telling him his name was “nobody” and addressing his men as sheep so the cyclops would be fooled and let them out of the cave. One of Odysseus’s achievements was in “The Lotus Eaters”. On page one thousand twelve it describes when Odysseus persuaded his crew into leaving the deadly but satisfying island. He grabbed his crew members, tying them down to the boat so they could not be tempted to escape. He then moved swiftly and rationally to save the lives of his men. An epic hero is a character that appears in an epic. An epic shows the epic hero’s journeys, what they do and how they appear to be a role model. An epic hero must show strength, confidence and cleverness. In a story the epic hero would be a character that proved themselves to be different than the other characters. On “Quora” it states, “Epic heroes possess qualities that mere mortals lack. Bravery beyond compare, superhuman intelligence, strength or skills.” Epic heroes are immortal, they are basically superheroes they never die. Epic heros do things that are unexplainably amazing and
