The role of a woman is greatly changing and improving in society as opposed to how it was a couple of decades and years ago. In the early days a woman was seen as defined as someone who cooked, clean, nurtured her family and was basically living under control of a man, she had no say and no freedom of what she wanted to do as an individual. Even if she was talented or had something in her that the world could benefit from she was unfortunately unable to go on and perceive her career in that field because it will either make her more powerful than her husband, brother or father or she would be unable to take care of the household chores. In the early 19th century few women are recognized for what they have done and it wasn’t an easy road for them. In today’s modern time women have a lot more freedom than before they are working in all different kind of fields of interest, going on to college and beyond, and they are also embracing and showing their wonderful talents to the world. Her books are widely read among people and she also has a lot of charity campaigns. Many women including myself love her because she gives us encouragement and she’s a very nice woman at heart. Even though she made a fortune she still cares and has love for humanity. She has a thing in which she can connect with people on TV. Her interview with David letterman was phenomenal and she stated that “I am here on planet Earth to make my mark.” Oprah is a very philosophical woman who believes that our job as individuals is to treat people with love. Oprah has made a boarding school just for girls in Africa because she believes that women should be education and a strong nation would appear if women would be educated.
