Pay Gap Between Occupations
The gap between men and women’s wages become an issue of social importance in the 1960’s. Although it was viewed as discrimination, it was widely accepted due to the gender stereotypes of the time. Attitudes about gender inequality and pay scales have slightly improved, but the gap between salaries for men to women is evidence of gender bias. The issue has evolved into a complex situation that is impacting the American culture, social values, business, economics and politics.
Pay gap between genders is a known fact and is complicated by large diversity of women and their individual circumstances. Men and women have different places in the workforce
