Question 2. Consider your work in the discipline, major or field of study of your choice and discuss its relevance to the American Experience. For example, how does this work contribute to YOUR personal American experience? How does it contribute to the nation’s current and future development (socially, culturally, politically, economically, etc.)?

Defining the “American Experience” is difficult because it is comprised of many facets and experiences each uniquely personal to the individual. Experiences vary from those, which are public and contribute to the “greater good” of society while others are for individual growth. , 2014). For many years, I lived with walls, barriers and the idea that I was limited. I recall several years ago talking to a very wise friend of mine who pointed out that experiences are neither good nor bad they’re just experiences what makes the difference is how you view them. Therefore, I began analyzing how I handled and viewed the world around me. I realized external events are negatively influencing my thoughts and actions and a restructuring of my worldview was in order. After a significant amount of research on how the successful people view the world I began to understand the process of obtaining the goal is more important than the goal itself. Many young (in terms of sovereign statehood) countries use the United States and its Constitution as a model when developing their government. An amazing program our government provides to each state is the opportunity to collaborate with a developing country. The state of Nevada some years ago partnered with Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan can be considered the “Switzerland” of the Middle East. This country has very little infrastructure and has only been around since the fall of the Soviet Union. On a trip to Turkmenistan, I had the privilege of advising the military liaison (who work directly with the government) on the purchase of a radio network which was used by the border patrol. As a result, I was able to share my knowledge and experiences to help the government of
