Grown Up
As the plane touched ground, I peered out the window to my new country of opportunities. My father decided to move my family back to his home state. Mississippi was foreign to me; I had lived in the Middle East for the better part of my childhood. The transition was difficult and I never managed to adapt to the “Southern Hospitality”. Luckily, I had my mother and father to help guide me through my teenage years. My parents provided me with a bountiful youth of travel and fun. Even so, I had a growing urge to move somewhere that reflected my goals in life. I appreciated interior design for many years; it was something that my parents never understood. I pack up everything I own and my mom and I start our drive to California. If you have never done this you will know that this is a three-day trip. It feels like forever and the worst state to drive through is Texas it was so huge and pretty barren. Once we did get there I was so excited I could not believe that it had finally happened. Little did I know that soon I would have to say bye to mom, and the day came. I had taken my mom to the airport and said bye so many times before, but this one was much different in the fact that I did not know when I was going to see her again. I still don’t have job but not only that but I also had to quit school so I could get my life together. I also realized that I could no longer afford to live in my current apartment but to move out and move somewhere else I need proof of income. Thankfully I had a girlfriend that helped me solve that problem we had already talked about moving in together but now was the perfect time I need to get out of my apartment and she wanted to move out of hers. The problem that I faced though was that before I move out I have to fill my room with someone else. I had tried and tried to look for someone to take over my lease and nothing worked my last option was to just leave, which I did and went about my life. Little did I know about the consequences of doing that, which is they are gone go after until I pay
