The first day of soccer practice was chaos. Our coach did not know us as players and nobody knew anything about each other. “Alright, do we have any goalies on this team?” my coach asked. Everybody sat down and relaxed. Something lightly tapped me on the shoulder, I turned around and saw the varsity coach. I was shocked, why would he want to talk to me? “ You did great out there,” he said “ I would like you to play up with my varsity girls and get a better feel for goalie.” My face got as red as a ripe tomato, and I could not believe that he had just said that to me. I walked back over to my team, and everybody started asking questions. I answered every single one. After we talked about things we could improve, it was time for the second half. Nobody scored and nobody really had shots. The game ended with a score of one to one. I grabbed my stuff and was about to head out, when people I did not even know told me I did great.
