Throughout these past nine weeks, I have learned more about my writing and my strengths than in the last three years. The biggest thing I realized was that in each paper I had many writing habits. I also learned that some of my writing aspects are good while others need to be fixed. In all of my shitty first drafts, I could see all the things I was doing wrong without even noticing. In my college application essay, I first saw that my writing was weak and there were many things I needed to correct, such as my wordiness and punctuation. As the quarter progressed and we began learning more grammar, my writing got stronger. Such as in my short story analysis, my writing got stronger but still needed some much tweaking. When I was revising some of my later papers, such as my fiction and stylistics, I began understanding how to adjust the things I was doing wrong which made my writing stronger. Having the ability to know grammar and understand it can help me better communicate by having stronger sentences and papers. Specifically in my stylistics, I saw many of my habits and learned some of the things I can fix. After doing stylistics, my writing and understanding drastically changed. Everywhere I went, I could see clauses and phrases in everything I saw. Especially while writing my movie review, I saw my different sentence starters, phrases, and clauses, and it has allowed me to have more variation throughout the paper. Learning about the new grammar was a struggling process for me and made me want to cry. Many of the grammar aspects were very similar which also made it hard to identify when highlighting. I think the hardest part of comp was the highlighting because I had to analyze my own writing. If I could change anything I would have liked to spend more time on grammar in order to better understand all of it. One of the things I thought I did pretty well at was
