I have a wide interest in many subject areas but I realised since secondary school that law and business were the areas of a degree that I wanted to venture into. By taking on Business in college I grew interested in the subject as I was able to take part in scenarios to make a business efficient with the skills of being able to run your own business. Listening to guest speakers who regularly came into college who were successful in the business world persuaded me further that this was a working sector with endless opportunities that I wanted to study. I witnessed theory put into practice when attending a school trip to the Old Bailey in London. I was able to gain firsthand experience on cases which I thought only happened in films. I am a character that always wants to know deeper facts in current affairs to find out possible outcomes of a case. Taking English at A-Level gives me a stepping stone of the new transition of work in university as I am able to structure coursework and essays to a professional standard whilst also meeting deadlines. English at a higher level has also helped me to gain better analytical knowledge, I am able to read texts and obtain facts to gain a better understanding to produce notes which can be transformed into detailed answers. The subject also gives me an idea of personal preparation for exams that I may have to experience when doing a Law and Business degree. Studying Level 3 Business has also been beneficial as I know how to produce coursework to a high standard and meet deadlines regularly so I am ahead with the work. Business has also given me knowledge of many sectors in the subject. I have had the experience of completing many different units in business such as Law in the business environment, which has given me an understanding of both of the subjects at an early
