There are five ways people can be executed through, such as: hanging, electrocution, lethal injection, lethal gas, and firing squad. All of those methods of executions are against human rights. One of the most known one that reliefs no pain for the executed person is the lethal injections. Some researchers prove that the lethal injection causes the executed person to gasp for breath before they die. The lethal injection takes about 20 minutes up to an hour, so it can start having an affect on the executed person. Charles Brooks was the first one executed by lethal injection in Texas. The execution team places heart monitors on the skin and then inject two needles into the executor’s vein. The first needle is injected through a tube through a cement wall. The first needle contains saline, and then injected with sodium thiopental which puts the person to sleep. The last and final process that person gets injected with pancuronium bromide, which paralyzes all the muscles and stops the person from breathing system. That’s why they gasp for breaths. The person usually dies because of overdosing from the drug. One of the cruel ways of killing a person is through electrocution. It is one of the cruel ways because it effects the nervous system and the heart. They connect about 500 to 2000 volts to the prisoner. This process takes about 30 seconds and the prisoner will be dead. The gas chambers affects the lungs. In the gas chamber they pump sodium cyanide. There is another method called firing squad. This method is lining the prisoners up and then they get ready and finally they pull the trigger. All of this is after the doctor targets their heart with a black piece of sloth, and they seat them and surround their chairs with sand bags. The prisoner usually dies due to the loss of blood. When the prisoner is shot in the heart, he losses continuousness and the brain doesn’t receive enough blood, so the person stops
