Persuasive Essay Against Animal Testing

Have you ever seen one of those commercials about dogs and how they need homes? Well, what if their pain was actually real? What if the population is going down one by one? What if all animals were in that type of pain all the time? Animal abuse/testing needs to stop, we could still live a healthy life without meat, overall animals think the same way we do, and animal testing doesn’t always work. Everyone thinks that’s its okay, but really they are going to be gone soon enough if you keep on doing it. First off, we don’t have to kill off animals, we choose to. We have so many other sources of food now that can give us the nutrients we need to survive. From building all the animal farms we have gotten less land, but if we didn’t have them then we would have more land which would lead to more plants that we can eat(“Animal Testing”). Animals won’t die fast like they used to and we could get more resources from them, for example milk and feathers(“Animal Testing”).People have been wasting food on the animals and feeding them a lot so they can get big, but if we didn’t do that we could potentially stop hunger around the …show more content…
It’s just wasting money, time, and killing animals. Animals are different than us humans by a long shot, so they are bad test subjects. There was a pill in the 1950s that was used for sleeping but causes babies to be born with deformities. Using that on animals did not do that. So, if animal testing doesn’t work, we are just killing animals. Meet Libby, Libby was just a normal dog until she was brought into a science lab to be tested. When she was rescued, she was too scared to even stand up and crawled to someone straight away(“Get The Tissues”). She was in horrible shape. The bad things consisted of, tapeworms, hookworms, infections, and tooth decay(“Get The Tissues”). Picture your own dog being in that position, no one wants that.
