Dear congressmen,

I truly believe that the history of anything builds character to that something. For instance, America wouldn’t be America without its past. All the negative contributions add to the positive. That’s why I believe that students should be taught about the Holocaust.

Learning about the Holocaust in school can affect the way a student views the world, positively or negatively. It can cause anyone to alter the way they view bullying, racism, and discrimination. Like Wamariya, learning about the Holocaust sent me into a spiral of “mixed emotions but mostly excitement to speak out about it.”(Par 5).
