Is death truly the best option for all terminally-ill people? Since Oregon legalized physician assisted suicide in 1997, there has been a number of people that have defied all odds and survived a terminal illness. Another factor is that even doctors make mistakes. Doctors are unfortunately known to misinterpret a person’s life expectancy from time to time (Doctors). These occurrences prove that death may not the best immediate action; hope, support, and the perseverance of our medical system can reign supreme. These events are rare, of course, but just the fact that they do happen can change the minds of many healthy citizens, doctors, and
