Police Brutality In America

Imagine being brutally beaten by a Police officer and never getting justice for it , In the past recent years Police brutality has gone up which is now a major problem in our society. police brutality is one of several forms of police misconduct which involves undue violence. In our society today the rate of police brutality has increased, it has also caused major problems such as racial profiling which led to the deaths. Due to police brutality it has become a tremendous dispute in the world and only the people of America can put an end to it. Notwithstanding ,In our society today the rate of police brutality has risen ,in this situation statistics show that the increase is about 223 “Black” individuals have been killed by the police which …show more content…
Consequently If America doesn't come together all as one to put a stop to the increase of police brutality it will happen more frequently.Generally speaking ,racial profiling is one of the factors of police brutality . Racial profiling is the use of race or ethnicity as grounds for suspecting someone of committing an offense, the article, For Black Men, the research stated that black people are profiled as threatening . People of America feel more threatened by a blacks than whites due to the color of their skin. Benjamin Spock once stated ,“ most middle class whites have no idea what it feels like to be subjected to police who are rational ,suspicious, rude,beligent and brutal” . following this further Hugh Glass explained , “They dont hear your voice! They just see the color of your face . You understand? You understand?”. Black people get judged everyday of their lives by police officers ,oneself feels that the whites of America will never understand or feel the fear us black people go through or even how we’re held to lower expectation because of our color. oneself believes that not everyone's the same and we all make our own destiny , but we are all still played out to be “ignorant” and “trouble makers” . racial profiling is something that has been around for many centuries and has never been seen as a problem in America's …show more content…
For example, the article Ignoring Police Violence , Michael Brown was killed because he was in a “strong- armed” robbery of a convenience store he was not convicted for any chargers, but instead lost his life. Now comparing that to a white man who did the same exact crime who was in a “strong- armed” robbery case at Home Depot was just charged with Robbery and an outstanding warrant.
