When you are an officer you will be called out to crime scenes once you get there you may be required to alert medical team and other law enforcement if required.It is also crucial to maintain the crime scene so it doesn’t get contaminated while getting names of potential suspects and keeping witnesses and or suspects at the scene until appropriate enforcement arrives. Once evidence is collected, organized and researched it is necessary to see what needs to be done and what information you can discover at the scene.
No matter if you are working for the police department or as a private detective the work will be both indoors and outdoors. This is a job that has diversity, and inconsistencies nothing will be the same.You will sometimes have open and shut cases that take little investigation, other times you will be required to do surveillance in a different vehicle than a police car.
