Political systems like democracy and communism both have different ideological principles. Both systems seem to value the idea of power to the individuals, but in reality the two systems of government structure the political framework of society in noticeable different ways. Communism calls for everyone to be equal and the wealth to be redistributed. In contrast, democracy lets people have the right to own their property and businesses. Democracy and communism each a have very opposing political landscape. In a democratic society, people are able to create their own political parties and vote in elections freely. In a communist society, however, one political party controls the government and political disagreement is not tolerated. Karl Popper
