This is where the movie goes back in time to show what really happened and how far he came. Already having problems with alcoholism, it seems as if fame was also another situation at hand. He is a well-known Abstract Expressionist, but with that said, his paintings do not sell very much considering how much effort Peggy Guggenheim puts in it also. The movie would also go back into the one night affair they had; which shows his lust and aggressiveness. His art was not as random as they seem, for he does at least put some thought into it, the intensity and passion of how his body moves pulls in the viewer, as he paints. The situation became frustrating, to both of them; art show after the other seems like failure continually repeating itself; it was just not enough for either them or the clients, and to have his own art gallery was even more of a task. It all came to the moment where he was painting, being clumsy, a few drops fell to the floor; this was his magical moment, to him it just looked and felt right. Going with the flow, he continued to splash and drizzle over several canvases.
