For instance, the concept of conformity was viewed in several ways such as graffiti art that was demonstrated during the 1990’s. Consider the prominent 1990 graffiti work of a two young boys helping each other fight a crime known as graffiti (Banksy). Banksy illustrates two boys representing the youth through amazing artwork which explains the value within each photo. The main idea portrayed in the image is that the youth in the 1990’s were considered to be unethical because of the actions they carried out which led to them always being considered immoral by the general public. Because of this evocative piece of work, the youth became cognizant of the fact that they would be viewed in a negative way by society based on their actions. The youth being aware of this influenced many of them to conform to what was perceived as morally correct at the time. To avoid having their reputation seem unethical and morally wrong they obeyed the ethical way by circumventing being regarded as an immoral person by society. An additional way that art influenced conformity in the youth was by a well known graffiti illustration “You Looked Better on MySpace” (Banksy). Successfully, “Clueless” demonstrated the imperative contrast between popular and unpopular high school students like Cher and Tai (Clueless). As an outcome, numerous teenagers were predisposed to conform to the fact that groups should be kept distinct and keep their place of status weather it was with the popular kids or the average kids, or with the rich or the poor. By the cause of this conformity, a majority of Americans held back in expressing their own individuality and instead were divided into certain groups based on their looks and personality.
