Children of all age have to live their entire lives of one of two ways. One is to live knowing the truth and live in fear of your guardian being deported and missing out on countless activities for fear of someone finding the truth out. The second is for the guardian to never tell and their entire lives think that they are like everyone else. Status. Many children have no idea that their parents are in the country illegally until many years down the road. The problem does not question the right of the parent but of the child who is a citizen by law being born in this country, regardless of their parent’s citizenship. Is it a child fault for actions they have no say in? Many of these children work just as hard as their peers their origins do not matter to them. They learn like any other American ,play as any child would, and shaped by the environment they are brought up in. There is no fault of the child and they have done nothing wrong by being born in America. A child who lives his whole life and is born in that very country is a citizen and should have the basic rights of any American. These children should not be denied the opportunity for post secondary education because to make it that far requires determination and outstanding determination. These children often times can not afford to pay higher fees or anything but what they can offer is services on the campus. While serving on campus fulfilling a certain amount of time not only shows how determined they are but provides services. Another option is to require a certain amount of community service to be provided with financial aid. These provide a solution to the bigger problems of allowing kids with undocumented parents attend college. By ensuring these students are giving back to the community as the community have given to them builds not only character but a sense of obligation. Adding to this working in the school environment allows service for service which holds someone accountable to being active and giving to the school
