A- One technology used within the criminal justice system are body/car cameras. These are meant to ensure the safety of civilians, police officials, and suspects. In the United States of American and Canada body cameras are becoming more popular.
Another technology that has caused some controversy is online observation- police officials may request to know the details of peoples online lives – Bill C- 13 was designed to protect Canadians from cybercrime but many citizens feel violated from it.

B- For body and dash cameras, there are many benefits but some controversial concerns as well. Some of the benefits include increased transparency and legitimacy – both parties (the police official and the accused) will have video evidence of whatever

A few more concerns include officers’ health and safety – some believe the dash camera and/or body camera could put them in harm’s way if someone feels theatened by them, training and policy requirements, and logistical and resource requirements including data storage and retrieval.
In the society we live in police face lots of backlash for their actions – they are displayed all over the news and internet. Body and dash cameras present a solution to the problem – recording of both police and civilian behaviour.

With Bill C13, there are many beneficial things about the idea of it but many citizens feel violated by the bill. While making sure that child pornography and cyberbullying can be caught, every person seems to have an opinion on Bill C13, according to openparliament.ca.
The benefits are there- monitoring and putting an end to online crime, such as distributing and filming child pornography, drug dealing, harassment, and threats. The only concerns are those of privacy – citizens are uncertain of what is being monitored of their online
