The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare was signed into law by President Obama. The plan was designed to protect consumers from insurance company tactics that drive up patient cost and provide affordable health insurance coverage for all Americans. Despite its highly controversy and objection from Conservatives the plan has proved to have a positive outcome. One of the many pros to the plan is that people that had pre-existing conditions like cancer, hepatitis C, etc. that was denied health care coverage is now eligible and can receive treatment.
