The following reflective report will examine two critical incidents that affected my team and me during the MEGA business simulation. The Oxford dictionary (2017) defines reflection as a severe contemplation or deliberation. Reflection will help me look within myself and see what I did during the incidents and how it affected the group dynamics. To be able to examine the issues through different theory’s of reflection we must first define what a critical incident is. A critical incident is an event, which has implication for myself, and it is often an incident that makes me stop and think, or one that raised questions for myself. It’s an event that in some way has had an important influence on my private and professional learning (Learning, 2017).
There are several key theories that go through that directly how reflection can be inspected. An example of one of the theories is seen in Kolb's learning theory, which looks at four different learning varieties, which are constructed on a four-stage learning phase (McLeod, 2010). This theory will be used in relation to an crucial incident of my mine, as it will help me reflect on an issue that leads me to formulate an impression about a experience and then be able to differentiate this issue from another. This model will help me in the future to improve my performance, and

This will help me look at an issue through the 6 stage reflective cycle (Using Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle, 2017). This theory will help with evaluating the specific issue we had as a group and the rewards or consequences that followed because of it. This theory is will help me approach the issue in an organised way and it inspires transparency (Isaac, 2014). Gibb’s reflective cycle will allow me to reflect in regards to a roles and responsibility issue, as there were power struggles during the simulation and it will help me to reflect on this issue that I had during the task (Potter,
