Registered Nurse

Who will be there to help when someone gets sick or when they have problems, and who will be there to help them in their desperate need, a registered nurse? As many would think that all a registered nurse does is care for wounds or handle medication, is it much more to a registered nurse responsibilities. A registered nurse is a nurse who simply cares for their patients and monitors their vital records and files. They work with different patients on a variety of things such as performing physical exams, prescribing medications, dressing wounds, and numerous other duties that will later be discussed. The best way to better one career is to go to a community college or university, major in nursing, and go for about two to four years to obtain a baccalaureate degree or an associate degree, then attend a Bachelor of Science of Nursing or an Associate of Science in Nursing program. Next, take courses in neonatal nursing and pass the licensure exam, began working as a registered nurse, and build up one experience. Last, one should pass the nursing certification exam and one will begin pursuing their dreams. Many universities or community and junior colleges offer nursing programs, and after receiving a degree and license, it is time to start training. To start training, one must first become a practice nurse until becoming a registered nurse. Shortly after, one will start working in the hospital practicing. A registered nurse has to have many special skills; such as the ability to work effectively with a team, a passion for helping different people, good communication skills, and good observation skills.
