To get these degrees, you have to go to a university or community college that has programs for a bachelor’s degree and an associate degree. The programs are combined with clinical practice in an affiliated hospital or health care facility. Also, all students that have graduated from an accredited nursing school must pass a national licensing examination to obtain a nursing license. The working conditions for a Registered Nurse isn’t that bad, they are mainly on their feet most of the time, but they work in a pleasant environment. Some nurses have to work nights, weekends and holidays because some patients may require 24 hour care. I will be a Registered Nurse working for the hospital and for the public health, which means I will have to travel to private homes, schools, community centers, and other sites. I would also like to build working relationships and have a better understanding when it comes to dealing with patients, therefore I will have to communicate with my patients and make sure they are comfortable.
