The bizarre image of a man holding his pregnant belly was created by Saatachi & Saatachi, a British advertising company known for its ability to creatively form connections between consumers and products that effectively catches the attention of British viewers. Child rearing is an incredibly delicate topic in one's life, especially for those who decide to give birth to the child. Recently, in 2022 Roe V. Wade a landmark court case was overturned. Roe V. Wade was tried in the early seventies on whether a woman has the right to terminate her pregnancy through abortion. Jackson Women s Health Organization was the case that overturned Roe V. Wade which rescinded the constitutional right to an abortion(Oyez). A large portion of the United States public was disappointed in the Supreme Court s majority opinion, which was authored by Supreme Justice Samuel Alito. An analysis of the pregnant Samuel Alito by Saatachi and Saatachi revealed that it was minorly affective in persuasion through use of color, compositional special effects, and clever text. Color has a psychological effect on the viewer. Bright colors such as yellows and oranges promote energetic and joyful feelings. Darker colors stimulate soothing and calming emotions. Saatachi s color palate consists of the two colors: black and white. Black is associated with the negative themes of evil and death. The physical effects experienced by this color include lowered energy, depressed mood, and aggressive behavior. White can provide a feeling of harshness, sterility, and loneliness. The physical effects of color include increased focus, and sensitivity to brightness (Mental Health America).
