Schindler’s List Essay

I have to say Schindler’s List is one of the best documentary movies I have ever seen. I hate how it is based on a true story because millions of innocent lives were taken. The movie was great but it brings back the reality of the world we live in today. The feeling you get when you realize that 6 million Jews were killed for no reason is unexplainable. I still don’t understand why they were killed or just from hatred. If I was Jew back then I definitely would have tried to get out or taken a few Germans out with me. I don’t understand how you can kill that many people or even one and still live your life without losing any sleep. People that are killers are scared to be killed but it doesn’t bother them when they are killing others.

At the beginning of the movie I thought he was a ruthless Nazi member. After watching him he was a very intelligent man and had a heart for all those innocent people. It was very smart of him to have his own factory that is supposed to make artillery shells. Because when he said I will regret the day we make and artillery shell that actually fires that means he knew they would use his shells to kill many more Jews. He also kept the children to clean the insides of the shells. He was an amazing man that saved many lives. What was sad was that he realized he could have saved many more lives by selling a car or a pen made of gold. Even though he saved 1100 of 6 million he is still a hero.
