People with this disorder always need to receive help from other people, as it is an uphill task to find a job whether to care themselves in a proper way. Those people need the constant and perpetual treatment. Furthermore, an appropriate treatment may help schizophrenia affected to alleviate a lot of symptoms. However, for many people it is difficult to cope with most of them through all their live. In recent years, there were developed kinds of new ways to understand the the real origin schizophrenia in order to investigate more new treatments. As a result, that may present new chances for people with this disorder to feel better and even prevent this terrible illness. As it was said before, person may be affected by schizophrenia at any age. However, it is nearly impossible to diagnose this disorder in people who are younger than twelve years old and people who are more than forty years old. It is important to know that person can live good with schizophrenia, but only in case of proper treatment and early diagnostics of it, as it is hard to find this disorder in …show more content…
Opinions of the experts differ. However, there is a common point of view that such disorder as schizophrenia can be caused by various factors. First of all, genes is one of the most important causes of schizophrenia development. While the mode of inheritance of schizophrenia remains unknown, most evidence support a multi-locus or multi-factorial threshold model. The model proposes that schizophrenia results from the combined actions of multiple genes of small effect which confer susceptibility to the schizophrenic phenotype, with the disorder being expressed above a particular liability threshold. (Weinberger & Harrison, 2011) With the molecular genetic revolution, attempts have been made in order to find the “schizophrenia gene”. It should be obvious from the foregoing that such a quest is futile, as the condition itself is heterogeneous, and inheritance is non-Mendelian, with gene-environment interactions and epigenetic efforts to boot. This does not mean that the molecular genetic study of schizophrenia is useless, but it does mean that it is needed to look for genes that act in concert with other genes as well as various environmental factors, in order to produce schizophrenia
