Summer break--- the itch everyone has from the beginning of the school year right down to their final exam period. We thirst for that three month freedom from school every year. Although a longer school year would give us longer breaks(winter, spring, etc.) it would still bring an enormous amount of stress to students. School all year round would take a toll on students, even with the longer breaks there would not be a long break when they know they will not have to go to school for at-least 2 months With the school year being long enough now, most would be opposed to this idea.

On the contrary having a longer school year that lasts all year round could give students many opportunities. The year-round school year could possibly lead to graduating high school faster. Also it is sort of a mimic of college because the breaks are much longer in college and some students take summer classes making their school year all year round. Mimicking college like this could help students with time management and many other things to prepare for college. Most teens get their personal money from summer jobs, and by not having a long summer break that takes away a lot of their summer jobs. Jobs while going to school take a significant amount of time out of a student's day to work instead of doing homework or calming down from the stress of school.
