What would be better, year-round schooling or a longer summer break? Many schools contemplate whether all schools should go to year-round schooling instead to keep kids' minds fresh and ready to learn, rather than having a long summer break, which kids would probably like more, and forget all that they have learned the previous year. While having a longer summer break would make lots of kid’s happier, year-round schooling is the better option to keep kid’s minds fresh for the upcoming school year. This explains that since the full summer break is shorter, students are losing a lot less knowledge and they would still have lots of breaks, so they would still be happy. To sum it up, year-round schooling will increase student performance, and keep kid’s minds fresh for the upcoming school year. Also, so they can continue right where they left off without reviewing too much. Second, schools would get a lot more use throughout the whole year instead of just the fall, winter, and spring. Some schools have said that “in terms of the school facility, this schedule provides a better use of the space” (Goers). This explains that the school will be being used throughout the whole year instead of having it unattended for three months. Also, some schools have said that “it avoids leaving the building unattended for months on end” (Goers).
