This first half of the semester I was taught how to categorize patterns based on information in tables graphs and rules. I used tables, graphs and symbolic rules to solve problems. I was taught how to write linear functions using information from tables, graphs and problem situations, I learned how to master this goal by using NOW-NEXT rules. This half semester I was taught how to rewrite linear expressions in equivalent forms algebraically. I can set up and solve systems involving two linear equations with two variables algebraically using the methods of graphing, substitution, and by elimination. While I like working with my peers I have learned that not everyone shares the same learning style or learning pace which has been a conflict with working in groups. I believe that working with others at a young age later in life will help us set a standard for further communication with people of higher standard. Learning with different people now helps us learn how to communicate with different people in the world as not everyone has the same perspective or thinking process as you. The grading system is very different and hard to adjust to but has many good reasons as to why it is used . My favorite part of this grading system is the fact that it is a just and fair way to grade students , this grading system gives students time to learn goals without if affecting our grade only because we don't learn a concept faster than others. The reason I don't like this system is not having a number to base your grade as , it not a big problem but it does change the way grades are seen. I think the investigations are clear and help relate to real world situations, the requirement to explain investigations are related to the topic and they help trigger critical thinking skills and the justification process helps you master the concept as you explain how the problem can be solved and why it is solved in that particular
