Shootings have become very common in America as every year we hear about so many incidents involving shootings. However, bombing threats are still not that commons. What a person would do when they have to come across with both of these situations at a same time. Last year, in my high school I found myself going through this situation when a bombing and a shooting threat was made to the principle of my school over the social media. Our schools and police need to take better steps to insure the safety of the students and other people who become the victims of these type of crimes. I personally believe that the steps my school staff took in that situation to ensure the safety of students and teacher were not enough. They could have handled that situation way better.
When the bombing threat was made at my school, the principle ordered to evacuate the school. The students and teachers were released from school early. I was terrified for them and I was feeling guilty and thankful about the fact that I had a doctor’s appointment and I did not go the school that day. My mom and the parents of most of my friends were also terrified and were scared for the lives of their children. The next day a lot of students did not show up to school and that same day another shooting threat was made. The school did not do much to ensure the student about how safe the campus is for students to attend at that point. The day after the shooting threat my parents and many other parents did not let their children to attend the school for that day because the people who made the threats were not caught yet. The school should had been closed till those people would have got caught to ensure the safety of the
