A teacher with none of the same training of an officer could possible make the situation worse. When it came down to it, could a teacher be able to handle a situation between life and death? An officer would be able to much better take control of a situation than a teacher with no training.
Some people would argue that the resource officer could not get to the situation fast enough to take care of the situation. This could definitely happen but, the school has practiced lock down drills so the teachers know what to do until help arrives. If the law was passed for teachers to have conceal and carry they would have to go through the training to get a conceal and carry. This would be true but, teachers going through a conceal and carry class is nothing compared to a officers training to handle these dangerous situations correctly.
All in all there are good and bad points as to why teachers should conceal and carry in school. The one thing we all fear is someone coming in with a gun and causing harm to anyone. If one gun can do that much harm, why would we want to put even more guns into our school system that is supposed to keep people and their children safe as possible. Guns should be kept out of
