“Every year about 70 teens die from work injuries in the United States” (NIOSH). This could be prevented if teens weren’t working in the first place. The belief that teens shouldn’t be working is shared by blogger Renae Hintze, who has had personal experience with having a job during her high school years. As Renae suggests, teens shouldn’t work during the school years since it can be a distraction from academics and leads to increased stress.
