Should The Constitution Be Changed To Fit Today's Society

The United States Constitution was signed on September 17,1787. The United States Constitution was written for the people. It established The United States National Government and Fundamental Laws. It also was written as a way to secure certain rights for the people. The Constitution was written way back in 1787 so things have changed quite a bit from 1787 to 2018. I personally feel as if some of the Amendments need a little adjusting.

To begin with, I feel as if the 2nd Amendment should be changed, to fit today’s society. The second Amendment states that people are guaranteed the right to own and bear arms for self defense. I personally feel as if this is a valid right and people should be able to defend themselves but to a certain extent. Self-Defense and just shooting innocent people for the fun of it are two different things and Citizens should learn that. Self-Defense is when someone or a group of people are attacking you and you fight back to try and get away and to keep them from harming you. People tend to get self defense and purposely shooting someone confused. I think the 2nd Amendment needs to be changed. I

They use their agession and pain and take it out on innocent people. It isn’t right innocent people shouldn’t have to suffer for the heartless and cruel act of a cruel person. Innocent people shouldn’t have to suffer, America needs to wake up and realize that this issue needs to be dealt with. So many shootings have been going on and yet nothing has been done about the gun control situation. I think that in order to even own down to a handgun you have to go through thorough screening and background checks to even be achieved. And for all this heavy military weapons citizens shouldn’t even be allowed to have. We really need to come together and finally deal with this situation that is taking so many lives all across
