It is a trope seen with many other genres of books. Although seeming to be polar opposite, the fierce warriors are both influenced by emotion and others. Macbeth after hearing the following prophecy said by the three weird sisters become so enthralled with this prophecy, that he will do almost anything to make it come true. His wife Lady Macbeth truly pushes him to the edge making him kill King Duncan. After killing Duncan he wanders down a dark path where he eventually loses himself. The role of family for Macbeth is vital to pushing him to the brink of madness.Lady Macbeth convinces him to kill, hoping that this will get him the crown. He still however, uses this push to move him closer to the what his destiny was foretold to him. The role of family for Macduff is on the same track of Macbeth’s and it is one of ambition.Macduff's reaction to what Macbeth has done to try and stop him, is his catalyst to jumping into action against Macbeth.Having been given the news that his whole family,including his babes, had been gruesomely killed by Macbeth, he says “I shall do so, But I must also feel it as a man I cannot but remember such things were,That were most precious to me.
