Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
Part 1
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
Physical health: I feel that my exercise routine is my activity that reflects my physical health. My eating could be better so my physical fitness contributes more. I work out 3-5 days a week and sometimes more than once a day.
Social health: I feel that my current relationships with my boyfriend, his family, my family and friends are definitely a reflection of my social health. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and we spend almost all of our extra time together. When we are not together, I am with my mom, who is my best friend or my sisters.
Intellectual health: I feel that a reflection of my intellectual health may be my grades throughout school and currently in my past classes. I have only had two classes at UOPX, but it has been over 10 years since I have been in class and I still received an A average in both classes. I feel that this shows some of my intellectual health.
Environmental health: My environmental health is reflected by the recycling that I do each week and the fact that I grow a lot of my own vegetables and spices. I feel that if I had the means I would contribute more to the environment as well, such as a more efficient car.
Spiritual health: An activity that reflects my spiritual health would be practicing my religion and following the beliefs of that religion, like the holidays you celebrate and why.
