According to the Health Inequalities Portal (2019), we must address the social determinants of health to achieve health equity and improve the population's overall health. Taking action in this field can bring positive outcomes for communities. However, it is crucial to thoroughly evaluate their effectiveness and potential for implementation in different contexts. In this research, we will examine two case studies from the WHO European Health Equity Status Report Initiative (2019) and assess the practical aspects of each country's intervention in dealing with …show more content…

The approach was meticulously designed to improve access to education, reduce school dropout rates, and tackle socioeconomic disparities in educational achievement. By placing education at the forefront, Estonia empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills required to make healthier decisions and access healthcare services. This intervention effectively addressed one of the critical social determinants of health, namely education, and highlighted the significance of addressing structural factors to achieve health equity. Estonia has an approach to educating people that could serve as an outstanding model for other countries seeking to enhance their population's health and overall welfare.
