In the novel “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, Mr. Dark can be characterized as angry and sneaky. Mr. Dark can be seen as angry through the diction “ glared” (Bradbury183), clenched (175), and “barked” (179). By doing actions such as glaring, clenching, and barking, Mr. Dark shows how short tempered he is, and that he’s capable of hurting someone if they get in his way. The reason he does this is to show that he’s in control; using aggression to show scares people into doing things for him, therefore he uses his short temper to his advantage.
