Sonography is the safest diagnostic procedure that is based on high-frequency sound wave. This sound wave is more than 20 hertz due to which we are not able to hear it. But the images of internal organs can be viewed on a screen that is connected with the ultrasound machine. As this is no x-ray or radiation involved in this testing, it is absoluty safe for pregrant women to undergo sonography.
When sonography is used?
Sonography or ultrasound is a common diagnosis procedure in which sound wave is used to diagnose all the parts of body organs. Mostly, it is used to determine the right time of pregrancy, check the health of the foetus, and to determine sex of foetus.
