“Mom, that’s a willy, willy wed wagon!” This is a fear and concern for every parent, a speech disorder. Their child stuttering or not being able to correctly articulate common letters and sounds like “r.” I have chosen to pursue a career as a speech language pathologist because I want to help children and elderly people overcome obstacles and be an aid in developing their communication skills. This is not a program offered at Southern Regional Technical College, however I have been able to complete most of my required core classes to transfer to a four-year school. Until I have enough credits to transfer, I have decided to pursue an associate’s degree in Social Work at Southern Regional Technical College, to take strides in the right direction
