The Fcat has four section to pass which are reading, writing, mathematics, and science and the states are the ones to decide what score you need to pass. But school often get behind on important topics that needed to be discussed in class due to various reasons such as weather and technical issues or maybe the teacher need to help students on a topic they don't understand. A standardized test does the FCAT usually don't consider these variables which often lead to some students getting the lower score on the test, which they might fail. A standardized test doesn't account for all the variables that may cause the student to fail. For school, they have it easy for them to know what happening in them so having them make the test will better able to adjust for these
